Saints-Anges Church — A Living Soul

Culture, Taste, Sharing

A new project in the Beauce region: the requalification of the Saints-Anges church, built in 1913–1914. A unique heritage site set to shine throughout the Beauce.

In the heart of Saints-Anges, the church reinvents itself to bring people together. Once a sacred place, it now becomes a living crossroads, a vibrant centre where the voices, faces and stories of an entire community meet. A lively café-bakery, a neighbourhood theatre, a library open to the world, shared spaces and bright homes: every corner of the Saints-Anges Church will carry the warmth of encounters and the richness of our culture.

More than an architectural transformation, it is a rebirth — that of a place returning to its first calling: to unite, to inspire, to welcome. A local flame, fed by heritage and the collective imagination, that will shine far beyond the municipality, until it becomes a national symbol of revitalization, innovation and shared pride.

01Rendering: the restored church and its new glazed base on the forecourt

A living ground for a community on the move

Around the church, the ground no longer merely supports a building: it becomes a social interface, the active heart of daily life. A fluid connecting zone crosses the site, linking the indoor uses — from the theatre to the café — with outdoor experiences. This architectural threshold becomes a common thread, inviting people to stroll, to meet and to make the place their own.

The adjacent park, open and accessible, becomes a reinvented public square where trees, natural shade and a refuge pond come together. People come to sit, talk, work outdoors or simply observe the living world. It is no longer just a place to pass through: it is a shared, hybrid, free and evolving space.

Every square metre is designed to welcome local people — children, seniors, creators, passers-by — in an urban eco-landscape that combines well-being, inclusion and everyday beauty.
