New primary school, Rimouski
Commission scolaire des Phares — architecture competition
“Mon école, un horizon de savoirs exploratoires” (My school, a horizon of exploratory knowledge)
Learning means acquiring knowledge and know-how and, in our new digital economy, it also means developing life skills. This project offers every child in Rimouski the feeling that their school is also the school of life.
Like the city of Rimouski at the confluence of the salt and fresh waters of the St. Lawrence River, the new school will stand at the crossroads of established and emerging teaching approaches. This bright, innovative and unifying school, with its open and decompartmentalized architecture, will stimulate precisely this fruitful junction, rich with promise for the future.
